Bodybuilding Vitamins

Vitamins are important for body-building. Vitamins contain molecules which are free of calories and help our body to carry out various functions. Vitamins help in the transformation of carbohydrates into glucose and helps protein and fat metabolism which are vital for bodybuilding.

Lack of vitamins could lead to deficiencies which could hamper the process of bodybuilding. Intake of vitamins is essential for good health of bodybuilding. Bodybuilders ignore vitamins because it does not supply them with energy the way fats, carbohydrates and proteins do. Vitamin deficiency could deteriorate the density of bone and muscle mass.

Body builders require more vitamins since bodybuilding adds more stress on ones body and vitamins make up for the wear and tear of the body. The process of bodybuilding depends in some way or the other on vitamins. Different vitamins serve different purposes.

Vitamin A- Besides being essential for healthy skin and eyes, it also contributes to protein digestion in the stomach and in the making of glycogen.

Vitamin E is useful for cellular fertility and renewal. It helps cellular respiration and keeps cells healthy. The recuperation of muscle cells depends solely upon the cell membranes.

B1 Thiamine, B2 Riboflavin, B3 Niacin. These three types of Vitamin B promote healthy appetite and digestion. They also help to keep the eyes and skin healthy and take care of the nerves too.

Vitamin D is a big help in the absorption of calcium by the bones. It helps develop strong bones and teeth and promotes normal growth.

Vitamin C strengthens the walls of the blood cells, helps to resist infection and heal wounds and thus enhances growth and revitalization.

Vitamin B6 Pyrodoxin helps the body make proteins and hemoglobin. Also helps the nerves function.

B12 Cyanocobalamin is an important Vitamin For red blood cell formation and healthy nervous tissues.

The most popular source of bodybuilding vitamins like liver, fish and chicken have plenty of Vitamin B12, and liver provides Vitamin A.

Roots and tubers like carrot are rich in carotene; Vitamin C is present in potatoes. All roots and tubers have high fiber content and must be included by bodybuilders in their diet.

Yellow fruits like mango and papaya contain carotene which is a precursor of Vitamin A.
Gooseberry and Guava are rich in Vitamin C. Green leafy vegetables contain huge amount of fiber, vitamin C and vitamin B2. These most popular bodybuilding vitamins can bring in great benefits when combined with minerals, proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
