Ronnie Coleman was born in the year 1964 on May 13th in Bastrop, Louisiana. He is five feet eleven inches tall. He weighs 285 lb in competitions otherwise weighs 320 lb. his arms measures twenty two inches. Chest is fifty eight inches, thighs is thirty four inches. His full name is Ronald Dean Coleman. He won the Mr. Olympia title eight times. This was from the year 1998 to 2005.
Coleman has also won the IFBB professional 25 times. This is a record by itself. He educated from Grambling State University in the year 1989. He got a degree in accounting. He used to play football in those days for the GSU Tigers. He was coached under Eddie Robinson. After his studies Coleman took up a profession of a police officer.
Ronnie was awarded for his accomplishment in bodybuilding and for endorsement of physical fitness. He got the 2001 Admiral in the Texas Navy Certificate Award. This was given to him by the then Governor of Texas. Other than Coleman, Lee Haney is the only person who has won the Mr. Olympia title eight times. Ronnie wanted to break his record but came second when he tried to do so.
Some of the competitions won by Coleman are 2000 Grand Prix England, Grand Prix Holland, New Zealand Grand Prix, Arnold Classic in 2001, the IFBB Grand Prix Russia, and Mr. Texas etc. he participated in many other competitions and did well though he did not get the first place.
Ronnie has two daughters called as Jameliah and Valencia. He got wed in the year 2007 December. The training that is included in Coleman’s regime is that of free weights and power lifting. He makes it a point to work out six days in a week. Machines are not much used by him for his exercise. A lot of proteins are derived by Coleman by eating chicken. This is why chicken is included in his diet. He makes sure that he gives ample rest to his body at least for three month after some contests that he takes part in.
Coleman has supported the Inner City Games. This is an organization that was co founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is currently the Governor of California. This organization was set up in the year 1991.
Presently, Coleman is residing in Arlington in Texas. He is working as a police officer there. He can be called as the strongest bodybuilder today. |
