Sergio Olivia was born in Cuba in the year 1941 on July 4th. His height is five feet ten inches. Presently he is located in Chicago. His arms measure up to 20 inches.
The peak of his career was in the year 1960 and 1970. He defeated Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Mr. Olympia title. He is also called as The Myth.
He participated in many competitions and has won them also. Some of the contest that Sergio Olivia participated and did well in is Mr. Olympia – IFBB in the year 1985 where he stood eighth. Mr. Olympia – IFBB in the year 1984, he stood eighth again. In the year 1972 he stood second in the Mr. Olympia – IFBB. Mr. Universe - Pro – NABBA, Tall in the year 1971, he stood second.
In the year 1966 he participated in the Mr. Olympia standing fourth, Mr. America in the year 1966 standing second. He participated for Mr. America in the year 1964 and 1965 standing seventh and fourth respectively.
Sergio Olivia was very determined to build his body. His passion for bodybuilding brought him to this field. He was regarded as a very strong man. Arnold Schwarzenegger has also appreciated him as the greatest bodybuilder. He follows a regular regime and exercises constantly. He is well known for the body that he flaunts. He could say that his arms measure twenty inches even when it was not pumped up.
He was into sports right from childhood and participated in Olympic weightlifting. When he was twenty he had the title of being Cuba’s highest ranked lifer. Today he is a police officer in Chicago. He is very popular among masses. His role as a bodybuilder gave him the name of The Myth.
He has been to several places like Jamaica and Miami where he participated in various competitions and became very popular also. When he started with bodybuilding the title he won was Mr. Young Chicago land. |
